Verdict. Pick TikTok One if TikTok is where your audience lives. Brands pay nothing to get in, TikTok holds their money until your video is approved, and One Pay promises cash within 30 days with no cut taken. That beats chasing net 60 invoices. The catch is control. TikTok decides which countries get access and sets the rates on its own projects, and nothing you build here travels to another platform.

TikTok One pros and cons

What we like

  • No access fee and no minimum ad spend for brands running creator campaigns.
  • TikTok One Pay promises payment within 30 days of posting, and TikTok takes no cut.
  • Projects open at 1,000 followers, a much lower bar than YouTube's partner program.
  • Escrow means the brand's money is held before you post, so fewer unpaid invoices.

What gets in the way

  • TikTok's help pages name no countries. You only find out once it launches where you live.
  • TikTok-run projects pay fixed rates you can't negotiate.
  • Your deal history and audience data stay inside TikTok and don't move with you.
  • The Plus label, worth 15% more on Custom Collab deals, is limited to US and Mexico creators.

Who should skip TikTok One

Skip it if you are under 18 or live where TikTok One hasn't launched, and pitch brands directly or join an independent marketplace instead.
